I love when we can celebrate and congregate in common. Sharing moments of great gain or even of great loss. Of purpose and of destiny. Of all of us. Human-kind. Watching the Michael Jackson tribute at the Staples Center Iʻm reminded of these sediments. Iʻm also reminded of the resistance thereof. Those whose focus is drawn to that which is wrong rather than all that is right. Michael Jacksonʻs passing may or may not change the world or reign significant beyond Sunday but Iʻm again given hope in the solidarity of humanity. A hope that we are capable of uniting around that which moves us, that which we love and loves us back. Hope that we can be one.
